No pics today... Just an update of what's going on in case I'm out of electricity later on....
Dolly has scared our neighbors down south (Matamoros)...and it definitely has kept us on our toes here as well...
We have purchased the necessary stuff, we have boarded our windows, and now we just sit here and wait...
The whole city seems to be having a party...there's nothing at the stores, no batteries, no flashlights, canned food has disappeared...chips/doritos are gone as well....Where's the party .... really?
The atmosphere at Wal-Mart or any other supermarket is light and optimistic...we have to stay that way... It's just rain, we keep saying to ourselves...
We haven't seen a real storm for a while now, but it doesn't scare us...
What does scare me is the fact that mom might miss her dialysis...or things might get complicated for the elderly or less fortunate...and trust me, if you've been to Brownsville, there's quite a few less fortunate...
That's the scary part...
But this too shall pass...and we'll be OK...
