She's child #3. My miracle child. She is the only one who had curly locks as a baby. She loves to draw and paint. She loves her grandparents and is crazy about her aunt Nancy. She is feisty, and grumpy, and likes to be alone. She is always pinching/squeezing elbows, knees, or any other place that feels "wrinkley". She kisses hands often. She gives hugs unannounced. She only talks to you if she wants to. Otherwise she'll just look at you and walk away. The one that sings and dances uninhibitedly in public when she so desires. And if she tires, she expects for someone to carry her as if she was a baby. My little Danny. Born with Tetralogy of Fallot. My curly chubby baby who had open heart surgery at 6 months. The one that kept us awake for many nights prior to her surgery. Who had us on rosary after rosary during her hospital stay, and then after. A child that when you see now, you wouldn't think she had a heart condition. The child who was given a chance by God, and last week diagnosed with "no further surgeries needed at all." Yeah, this is my Daniela, and I love her.

WOW! Gorgeous. The photo & the journaling, especially! This is just so sweet and so heartfelt. What a great bit of news for you guys, I'm sure! Thank you so much for sharing this!!!
(BTW - my girls are actually 17 months apart, but we get asked atleast once a week if they're twins. My oldest is small for her age & my youngest is right on track, so they're pretty close to the same size...)
Praise God! I'm glad you posted your miricle. What a great story to hear just before bed.. TFS. This pic isbeautiful! No cc from me.
what a beautiful little girl and what a beautiful gift of news you received! so glad that your long struggle is finally over. great capture!
Sweet girl and the journaling just makes the miracle of it all come alive! Congrats to you and your family!!!
what a precious story. I am soooo glad that she is better!!! how scary..and a beautiful girl and a beautiful photo!
She's beautiful and what beautiful journaling, what wonderful news that she doesn't have to have any more surgeries. Thanks for sharing about you dd today, wonderful shot of her.
Great new!!! God is so good to us. I hope that she keeps her joy and spirit for life forever!!!
Oh wow!!! What a wonderful tribute to your special dd. I'm so incredibly happy for your wonderful news. It's difficult to have a child with special/potentially life-threatening problems. But to have them say--"All is ok!" Hmmmm.. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe that news. What a feeling of relief. Congratulations!
This is a wonderful picture--you can just see her zest for life in the sparkle in her eyes--great catchlights and expression, btw. Perfect picture!
And, thanks for taking the time to comment on all my pics and to look/comment on each one. Terrific!
Great journaling. I can't imagine what you went through. My own daughter was diagnosed with a heart condition in utero(NOTHING compared to this) and there were many ultrasounds, ekg's, etc until at two months old they said that it was going to be okay. I can only imagine the mountain of worry that was lifted when you heard those same words. She is so beautiful and what a beautiful story. thanks.
she is beautiful. great shot and catchlights in those gorgeous brown eyes!
Wonderful journaling and great story! Glad she's not having to have anymore surgeries! thank God for those miracles!!!
My dd's name is Danielle. Close. Beautiful names for beautiful girls!!!
The honest and emotive journaling here is wonderful! Praise God for no more surgeries...what a blessing/miracle for sure!
The rich coloring here is lovely...did you use an action? I am praying for my DS to have curly hair, my DH does. Right now thought...he's pretty bald;)
There's nothing harder than having a really sick child! Like you, I know. But what an amazing miracle your daughter is now! And what an incredible photo...priceless!
I absolutely love it. TFS!
Great news that she requires no more surgery! I somewhat know what you went thru as my son had surgery (not heart) at 5 weeks old. That is the hardest thing to do - to hand your little one over to a surgery nurse when they are so small! She is beautiful, love the angle.
She is a miracle and so pretty! I was born with VSD and my surgery was at 2 years 10 months of age. Glad she is healthy and happy! TFS
The photo and the journaling are awesome.
She is gorgeous - love those eyes and her curly hair (it reminds me of my DDs). Your journaling was amazing. I'm so glad to hear about your good news regarding her health!!
Oh Cristina, what a lovely journal. Thank you for sharing your miracle child with us.
the portrait captured her spirit as you've described.
