Here's one of the pics I used for the Contre-Jour challenge. This lady was selling popsicles at the beach and I snapped this as she walked right behind us... She turned and smiled at me which in my own mind, granted me permission to keep it... ;)
PS - I took this pic last summer...when I was still shooting in 'Normal' mode...Hmmmm does that mean I'm abnormal now?

Hey a smile is an agreement in my book... Ha! Love your logic!!! But, honestly, I would have done the same thing... ;) This shot is really cool. I like the fact that she is almost completely dark, yet you can see enough details to know the whole story. Cool shot, Cristina!
Very cool shot, I like how dark it is but you can see the glow behind her. Neat capture!!
very photojournalistic....like the colors and the silohuette...this looks like it could be on the cover of a novel.
leah
Fun shot and story.
I really like this shot. It's got a journalistic feel to it. Great lighting - you've got the Contre-Jour perfectly here!
I agree- I like the look and feel of this photo.
I've missed your last couple of posts- I think we're out of synch. Your entries for the summer challenge are fabulous. Two to the second power made me laugh out loud! You math geek....
:)
Great shot!
You're really doing well with the challenges and getting some creative shooting in. I really like the border on this one too. This one looks so telltale of the area for some reason, just not sure why as I've never been there.
You know I love this one!!! I like your story. I would take the smile as permission, too. LOL Very funny.
hey, the smile agreement works for me! love the silhouette here...so great for your challenge.
A popsicle cart? Never heard of that one. Love the lighting here. Really draws you to her face.
I like the feel of this shot. You can't really see her face anyway, so I think it would be ok to use the picture anyway.
Oh, and yea, I think you're pretty abnormal. Aren't all us photography buffs a little "off" in the way we "see" things?? lol.
